Ode to my civic

Oh- wait that's not the civic- but in my mind, maybe

March- Good times in Charlotte

And by good times, I mean not so good times :) In the middle of March Nate and I came out of a "farewell Happy Hour" for a colleague of mine to find, low and behold we had no car!! Yes, someone had seen the same joy in my civic that I had seen. I know, I thought only I could love the 8 year old, 115K mile, green beauty, but alas I was wrong! Our wonderful (and immaculate shape) 99 civic had been stolen in broad daylight and somepoint between 7:30am and 7:15 pm- also of note- we park in an open lot next to the transportation center where cops are always on post- additionally there was a Bobcats game, so cops had been "on station" since around 5- nice! And everyone's response- "oh, you have a civic, of course, they love th0se!" Umm, wrong answer. But, we would like to send a shout out to USAA who was the best insurance company we could have asked for- when the car failed to materialize in a few days we all decided it was a loss and we were reimbursed for the beauty with two weeks. Nate's colleagues strated a pool- would it be found? would it be burned out? Would it be sliced and diced?Found wrecked? We wouldn't find out until a few months later what became of the car- stay tuned-
so here is my final dedication to our lovely civic!

February 2007- What the heck did we do?

Well, it seems writing about things 6 months ago is kind of difficult, ahhh, that's right, Megan was busy with work, work and some work. The CIAA basketball tourney came to t0wn- it was a week of tournament action- and months of preparation :) I have a great photo of Doug E Fresh on our big red couch that I will add once I find it! It was a great tournament, and we are proud to sponsor the conference as well as this great party, ahem, tournament.

While I was hoopin it up in Charlotte Nate went to visit Matt to see Sid the Kid in action as the Pens took on the Hurricanes- unfortunately they lost 2-3, but he had a great time seeing the Lewis family, as well as the future of hockey! Go Pens!
