US Canoe and Kayak

On our way home from Megan's wedding we swung by the US Canoe and Kayak National Time Trials. Thanks goodness the US Whitewater Center was built here in Charlotte, there are always some great events there!

Here is the great Bank branding (great work Lauren) and here is a shot of me enjoying the trials from the overlook- good times! Next year maybe you will see me in this, I am still trying to find my sport to get me into the Olympics!

Megan's Wedding

The one photo I got of Megan - lovely I know- for some reason I have had an aversion to our camera at weddings as of late! Posted by PicasaBut like I said, she looked so happy, and absolutely amazing!

Megan's Wedding April 28

Megan Mosier became Mrs. Bill Ireland in Atlanta on April 28th! It was a great event, Megan looked so happy, and we ar ejust so excited for her. Somehow I managed to get very few pictures that night- so Johnny and Steve, if you managed some better ones, please send them my way! Posted by Picasa

Here is a picture of the Tabb group! Me, Nate, Johnny, Steve and his wife Karen. It was great to see everyone and catch up! Next time we hope Johnny's wife Amy can join us, and it was great to finally meet Karen since we have only heard about her for years and too many things have kept us from seeing each other! On my next trip to LA I hope to finally see them.

Two New Cars

So, in the end, we sold the jeep and bought two new hondas-

The civic si is not quite as nice as the 99 civic I once called mine, but it and its huge engine will fo (and if you want to race for pinks, come find me on Friday nights out on the main drag) and we also bought the fun ridgeline.

The truck is awesome, the best part about it though is the trunk in the bed of the truck- love it!! We can go camping and throw everything in the trunk afterward without it 1. Stinking of the inside, or 2. having to go straight home for fear someone might steal my boots!

I think we should be put in Honda's next commercial- but I guess we will wait until the agent calls.

A continued Ode- but now for the Jeep too

And we might as well say farewell to the jeep as well - since it was the one we were thinking of getting rid of anyhow!
This ended up being a slightly fortuitous shot taken a few weeks before the dreaded s-day

In the end we all agreed the civic had been a great car, one that took me to RI, VA and us to VA, DC, Chicago, Charlotte and many places in between! The saddest part was really that it had been myvery first car, and my very first big purchase! An era has come to and end!
